Malvin Alice Genens (nee Kasputis)

Age 89, of New Lenox, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Smith Crossing, Orland Park, IL. Beloved sister of Francine (Charles) Fuhrer; loving aunt of Larry (Joni) Mohr, and Celia Fuhrer; loved great aunt of David (Nicole) Mohr; also survived by many dear friends at Smith Crossing. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Regina (nee Kunst) Kasputis. Malvin was an Elementary School Teacher in New Lenox District 122 for 28 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Malvin did Recording for the Blind, volunteered at Silver Cross Hospital, and was the volunteer Librarian at Smith Crossing. The Sunday Mass at Smith Crossing, on March 5, 2023 at 9:30am will be in Malvin’s honor, remembering her time at Smith Crossing. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
