Lawrence J. Tardy Jr.

Lawrence J. Tardy Jr. age 79, of Frankfort, IL. formerly of South Holland, IL. peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. Born in Chicago, IL. on July 13, 1947, to the late Lawrence Sr. and Jane (nee Flood) Tardy.

Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Suzanne (nee Halm) Tardy, beloved father to Christine (Tony Siriscevich) Tardy, Matthew (Mary) Tardy, Jeffrey (Barbie) Tardy, Julianne (Michael) Sadzak, adoring grandfather to Sean Tardy, Ava Tardy, Jacob Tardy, Grace Tardy, Joseph Sadzak, Jonathan Sadzak, James Sadzak, brother to Marguerite (late Frank) Zimmermann, late Michael (Michele) Tardy, late Stephen Tardy.

Lawrence was a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather whose family meant so much to him. He was a caring man who cherished the time he spent with the people he loved and created lasting memories with them.

Lawrence especially enjoyed being in Michigan, where he could relax, enjoy the sunshine, and appreciate the simple pleasures of life. He was also a devoted Chicago sports fan and proudly followed his beloved Chicago Bears and White Sox.

Above all, Lawrence will be remembered for his love, support, and the special place he held in the hearts of his family and friends. His memory will live on through all those who knew and loved him.

Family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W 2nd Ave, New Lenox, IL 60451 starting at 10:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM.
