Kimberly A. Meeks

Kimberly Ann Meeks, age 56, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Kimberly is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Meeks; children, Nicholas (fiancé, Cecelia Iniguez) Meeks, Caitlin Meeks, and Mackenzie Meeks; parents, James McDermott and Kathleen (nee, Fifer) McDermott; sisters, Patricia (June Ruszkowski) McDermott and Kelly (Jeffrey Jones) McDermott: and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clement and Clementine Fifer; her paternal grandparents, Stanley and Alice “Maggie” Mytko; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Kimberly always will be remembered for her exuberance, her loving nature, her love of reading and Broadway musicals, and her obsession with HGTV and the Food Network. Kim loved traveling, especially spontaneous road trips, and Chicago sports teams, particularly the Cubs and Blackhawks. Above all else, she loved her family deeply. Kimberly will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Services for Kimberly will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. in New Lenox, on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 3:30 p.m.
