Kevin Patrick O’Hara

“Uncle Kev”

Age 55 of Joliet, IL passed away on Thursday March 21, 2024, at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL with his loving family at his side.

Kevin was born in Joliet, IL to the late William and Patricia (nee Hicks) O’Hara and was a lifelong resident.  Beloved brother of his devoted siblings, William (Marlyn) O’Hara, Eileen (Bob) Stroud, Colleen O’Hara, and the late Tommy O’Hara; loved “Uncle Kev” of Kelly (Mark) Troha, Billy O’Hara (Betsy), Cori O’Hara (Mike), Kent (Missy) O’Hara, Tommy (Mary) O’Hara, Bobby (Kristy) Stroud, Brian (Nicole) Stroud, J.P. Golden, and Austin Roesel, as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

Kevin was a graduate of Providence Catholic High School, Class of 1986.  He was a roofer in the Will County area, and he was a great one.   He loved getting together with friends and family, once you got him there.  His favorite things to do were to have a Miller Lite and talk politics or to go fishing.

A “special thank you” goes out to his niece Cori O’Hara and nephew J.P. Golden for the care and compassion shown with their endless help.

Kevin’s wishes were to be cremated and buried with his mom.  A Celebration of Kevin’s Life will be held at a later date.
