Kathleen Frances Kosteck

Kathleen Frances Kosteck (nee Wagner) 79 of New Lenox formerly of Chicago passed away on May 11, 2021 after a fierce three week battle with Covid that began three days before her second vaccination shot. She is survived by her loving family; husband of 60 years Edward Kosteck; children Edward (Catherine) Kosteck, Gerald (Janet) Kosteck, Kathleen Kosteck, Lawrence (Elizabeth) Kosteck and Joseph(fiancée Jessica)Kosteck; siblings Carol (Henry) Schoening, William (Judy) Wagner, Frances (Dale) Miller; grandchildren Samantha (Jeremy) Nagy, Edward Fiancée Theresa) Kosteck, William (Fiancée Kylie) Kosteck, Caitlin (Kevin) Ryan, Virginia Kosteck, Jacqueline (Robert) Schabes, Joseph Kosteck, Jillian (Steve) Naples, Elizabeth Kosteck, Kenneth (Mikaela) Kosteck, Kyle (Fiancee Hannah) Kosteck, Claire Kosteck, Cooper Kosteck and Allison Kosteck; great-grandchildren Karter and Savana Nagy, Raelynn Ryan, Robert Schabes, Nalani, Nash and Navy Naples, Kenneth and Lilyana Kosteck. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Florence (nee Ebel) Wagner, her father and mother in law Edward and Marguerite Kosteck, sister Christine McGrane and grandson Kevin Kosteck. Kathy was a graduate of Mercy High School class of 1959, she attended St. Sabina Parish in Chicago and an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox for over 40 years. Visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Friday, May 14, 2021 3pm – 8pm. Funeral Mass at St. Jude Catholic Church,241 W. 2nd Ave New Lenox, IL 60451 on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow to SS. Cyril Cemetery in Lemont. Social Distancing and Masks are MANDATORY for ALL in attendance. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations to Lightways Hospice or St. Jude Catholic Church would be appreciated.
