Karen Lea Severson,

Age 70, of Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 at her home in Frankfort. Karen is survived by her loving family, siblings, Patty (Jim) Elkow, and Pete Severson, sister-in-law Donna Severson, nieces and nephews, Laura (Jamie) Holmes, Rachel (Andrew) Severson, Christopher (Lauren) Severson, Gus (Anneli) Olofsson, Jon (Lauren) Olofsson, Derek Severson, Steve Elkow, Nathan (Erika) Elkow, Peter (Maddie) Severson, great nieces and nephews, Abigail Holmes, Logan Holmes, Jack Holmes, Finn Olofsson, Elise Olofsson, Lillian Olofsson, Leif Olofsson, Avery Severson, and numerous cousins. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Percy “Skip” Severson and Lillian Severson, sibling, Brian Severson, and great-niece Esme Severson. Karen was a labor and delivery nurse for over 30 years at St. Margaret’s and St. Margaret Mercy Hospitals in Indiana. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in New Lenox. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by Funeral service, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Private interment, later, Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Frankfort IL.
