Karen L Kent

Karen Kent (nee Stringer) 69, of New Lenox was born October 11, 1956 and passed away February 13, 2026. Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Keith, parents Clifton and Mary, Keith’s mom (Florine), dad (Vernie), Keith’s brothers Alen, Jessie, and Bob.

Karen is survived by her sister Cindy (Craig), Donna (the late Don), Nancy (Gary), and Marie; sisters in law, Marita, Sarah (Sunjay), Mary (David), Helen (the late Bob). She leaves behind many loving Stringer and Kent nieces and nephews who brought her great joy. Karen cherished her besties Patty, Babs, and the late Debbie and Bruce.

She is grateful for her spiritual teachers and program people with whom she shared 35 years of living and growing spiritually. Karen’s spiritual commitment guided her through all seasons of her life.

A retired nurse Karen focused her career on being of service to others. She sends gratitude to her colleagues and friends at Advocate Health Care and the Joint Commission.
