Karen J. Banaszak (nee Kunz), age 66 of Mokena formerly of Evergreen Park, passed away on November 17, 2013. loving wife of James J. Banaszak Sr.; beloved mother of James J. Banaszak Jr. and Janet (Charles) Svazas; dearest sister of Harold Kunz; cherished grandmother of Andrew, Nathan and Noah and nieces, nephews, cousins and dogs Bandit, Buttkiss and Bella. Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 3 - 9 pm at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way Frankfort, IL 60423. Funeral Mass on Friday, November 22, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mokena at 11:30am. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Diabetes or Heart Association would be appreciated.
