Karen Ann DiOrio January 17, 1947 – March 12, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Ann DiOrio, who passed away on March 12, 2026, at the age of 79. Karen was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was defined by love, devotion, and family.

Karen was the devoted wife of her husband, John, and together they built a life centered around their family. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her, and she dedicated her life to caring for them, supporting them, and celebrating every milestone and moment they experienced.

Karen’s greatest joy and true “hobby” was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Being present in their lives, creating memories, and surrounding them with love brought her the most happiness. Her family was her pride and her purpose.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, her strength, and the deep love she shared so freely with those around her.

Karen leaves behind her loving husband, John; her children, Lisa, Michael (Eileen), and Shari; and her cherished grandchildren, Ashley Elle, Alyssa, Jake, Carlo, Lauren, Michael, and Kara, along with extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Karen’s life was a beautiful example of unconditional love. Her greatest legacy is the family she adored so deeply, and the love she gave to her husband, children, and grandchildren will continue to live on in their hearts forever.

A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E Francis Rd  New Lenox, IL on Sunday March 15th from 3-8pm. Chapel prayers will be Monday morning at the funeral home at 9:30am before processing to St Francis of Assisi 15050 Wolf Rd Orland Park, IL for mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
