June M. Congdon

June M. Congdon, age 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Clarendale of Mokena. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Warren Congdon; her parents James and Bridget Round; and her siblings, Alice (John) Bagwell, James Round, and Dorothy (Steve) Churilla. 

June was the loving sister of Patricia (late Richard) Lencki; sister-in-law of Sally Round; the fond Aunt of her eleven nieces and nephews; her fifteen great nieces and nephews; her ten great great nieces and nephews.

 June will be remembered for her love of crossword puzzles, and for being an avid reader. She will also be remembered for her elegant, and classy fashion sense. She had the ability to make a friend out of anyone that she met, and she was such an overly caring person, that she even wanted her family to write her letters about the new updates in their lives and send them to her mailbox in Heaven so she could stay current. She was a sweet lady, and she will be missed by all that knew her. 

Services for June will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave, in New Lenox with a visitation from 10am until the time of Mass at 11am. June will be laid to rest privately at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
