Joyce Anna Meersman (nee Brinkley)

Age 96, of Frankfort, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Victorian Village in Homer Glen, IL. Joyce was born November 13, 1928, in Chicago, IL, to the late Grover C. and Anna M. (nee Fleisher) Brinkley.

Loving mother of Susan Jackson, David (Suzanne) Meersman, Cynthia (John) Poulos, and Roberta (Patrick) McCarthy; cherished grandmother of Virginia Jackson, V. Michael (Megan Hart) Jackson, Christopher Meersman, Michael Meersman, Jason Poulos, Brendan McCarthy, Tyler Poulos, Emma McCarthy, and Kylie McCarthy; loved aunt, sister-in-law, cousin, and friend of many.

Joyce worked for more than 50 years as an optometric assistant for Dr. A.J. Pritchard in Evergreen Park, IL. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Joyce especially loved all the family get-togethers where she took many photos and then shared copies with all. She was kind, caring, and loving, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 3:00 pm until time of prayers at 7:00 pm.
