Joyce E. Znamirowski-Price

Joyce E. Znamirowski-Price, age 75, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Alden Courts of Shorewood, IL., due to complications from Dementia.

She was born, raised, and lived in or near Baltimore, MD during the first 35 years of her life. In 1983 she married her husband of 40 years, Robert Price. They moved to the greater Chicago area at that time, and resided over the years in both Des Plaines, IL., and New Lenox, IL.

Joyce’s avocation was dog showing and breeding. She was actively involved in the sport for over 55 years, and belonged to various dog clubs, at both the national and local levels. Over the years she owned and trained multiple champions in the confirmation, agility and obedience segments of the sport.

Another major interest of hers was floral design. She received formal training in that area and worked at multiple flower shops for several years.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Elaine (Kries) Znamirowski and Henry Znamirowski. She is survived by her husband Robert Price, aunt Dolores Znamirowski, aunt Shirley Kries, and multiple cousins.

Joyce’s husband would like to thank the Nursing and CNA staff members in the west wing of Alden Courts of Shorewood for the excellent care they provided during her residency at the facility.

Joyce will be laid to rest in Marriotsville, Maryland at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens at a date to be determined.
