Joseph Stephen Sluzas
93, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno. Joseph was born in Chicago to the late Adam and Anna (nee Subach) Sluzas. Beloved husband of the late Betty Ann (nee Mackert); loving father of Linda (Edward) Parchem, Barbara Norman, and Steven (Robin) Sluzas; cherished grandfather and great grandfather; dear brother of Frank “Fritz”, Wally, Helen, Ann, and Joan all deceased. Joseph was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and a retired Machinist from Balemaster in Crown Point, IN. Family will receive friends at St. Jude Catholic Church 241 W. Second Ave. New Lenox on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 9:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment with honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
