Joseph Patrick O'Marrah
74, of Putnam, IL, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Heritage Health in Mendota, IL. Joseph was born in Chicago to the late Phillip T. and Irene (nee Henson) O'Marrah. Loving father of Timothy, Raymond (Kerrielynne), and Jeffrey (Christina); cherished grandfather of Zackery, Joshua, William, Cullen, Maddie, Brianna, Daeinera, Melody, Liam, and Seamus; dear brother of the late Loretta (late Jack) Jordan, Irene O'Marrah, Phillip "P.J." (Diane) O'Marrah, and Michael "Mickey" (Gloria) O'Marrah; step-son of the late Edward Weisinger; uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph was a Retired Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Army and a Vietnam Veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joseph's name to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 10:00am until time of Funeral Service at 2:00pm. Per Joseph's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and private burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.
