81, of Oak Lawn, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Palos Community Hospital. Ray was born in Chicago to the late Rodney and Margaret (nee James) Lewis. Beloved husband of the late Audrey (nee Swanson) Miller-Lewis; loving father of Laurel (Robb) Carlson, Alan (Susan) Lewis and Tim Lewis; step-father of Susan (Allen) Lind and Mark (Elena) Miller; cherished grandfather of Matthew Lewis, Noah Lewis, Jacob Carlson, Joshua Carlson, Emilee (Brad) Beer, Robert (Lacey) Lind, Steven (Samantha) Lind, Elizabeth Miller and Katherine Miller; great grandfather of Eli and Bennett Beer; dear brother of Edythe (the late Sam) Radford, the late William (Marie) Lewis and the late Edward (the late Clare) Lewis. Also survived by his dear friend Diana Eigenbaer. Ray drove a bus for Southwest Christian School for 16 years retiring in 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ray's name to Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church would appreciated. Family will receive friends at Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church, 9230 S Pulaski Rd, Oak Lawn, IL 60453 on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 9:00am until time of Memorial Service at 11:00am. Interment will be private.
