John Henry Niemann Jr.

Age 87, of Orland Park, IL, formerly of Somonauk, IL passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL. John was born in Berwyn, IL to the late John H. Sr. and Frances M. (nee Mladenik) Niemann.

Beloved husband of Arliene J. (nee Steffek) Niemann; loving father of Cheryl (Gary) Seitz and John III (Kim) Niemann; Cherished grandfather of Allison (Andy) Smith, Erin Jones, Devin (Eric) Grant, Dori (Cody) Daley, John H. Niemann IV, and Lora (Jon) Hill; proud great grandfather of six; loved uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

John was a plumber and a plumbing inspector for 44 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Plumber’s Local 130. John was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, New Lenox, IL and former member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Sandwich, IL. John enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in John’s name to Disabled American Veterans would be appreciated.

The family will receive friends at Peace Lutheran Church 1900 E. Lincoln Hwy, New Lenox, IL on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 11:30 am until time of service at 12:00pm.
