John "Jack" Michael Lucas, Jr.

John "Jack' Lucas, Jr. age 79, a resident of Miller Beach formerly of Oak Forest, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at VA Jesse Brown Hospital. beloved husband of the late Junellen Lucas (Kelly); Loving father of the late John M. Lucas III., Cheryl (Robert) McKee, Sean (Tana) Lucas and Brian Lucas; dearest brother of the late Margaret (Phil) Jennings; dear stepbrother of Joyce (Joseph Waldeck); cherished grandfather of Jacob Lucas, Maryn Lucas and Connor Lucas; proud great grandfather of Addilyn and Vincent Lucas; also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of 33rd degree mason Scottish Rite Valley of Chicago. He was actively involved at St. Damien Church in Oak Forest, Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox and St. Mary Church in Miller Beach. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Inurnment will be held privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Children's Dyslexia Centers, www.chicagodyslexia.org would be appreciated.
