John J. O'Connell

John J. O'Connell, age 83 of Matteson formerly of Oak Forest passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was a carpenter and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea. Loving husband of Eileen (nee Roach); dear father of John (Linda), Maureen (late James) Craig, Daniel (Debra) and Timothy; Cherished grandfather of Kyle, Meghan, Hayley, Catherine, Patrick, Caitlin, Kellie and Kayla. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Hazel (nee Gerringer) and a sister Mary Krokar. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 2-9pm. Funeral service in the funeral home on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 9:30am leaving for St. Anthony Church for a 10:00am mass of Christian burial. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
