John Doyle Sewell, age 81 of Manteno formerly of Sauk Village, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019. Loving husband of Doris Sewell (Blair); beloved father of Gene Sewell, Elizabeth (Kent) Orton, Cynthia Sewell, Christopher (Jodie) Sewell; dear brother of Benjamin F. McCawley, James McCawley, Herbert J. McCawley, Lloyd A. McCawley, Jack D. McCawley and Mable L. McCawley; cherished grandfather of Andrew C. Horton, Christopher J. Sewell, Ryan Orton, Shannon (Austin) McClure and Jacob Orton; proud great grandfather of Alexis Horton, Bianca Ramos, Xavier Ramos, Brandon Horton, Kayden Sewell, Andrew J. Horton, Raven Orton and Bailey McClure, fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. John was a veteran of the United States Navy, he worked as a repairman for IBM. A memorial visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
