Joanne Staton Lee

Joanne Staton Lee, 92, of Homewood passed away Feb. 26, 2022. Wife of the late Thad Lee and John Staton. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Charles Mellendorf, Vera Hale, Helen Elmgren, and Marlene Goral. Joanne retired after a career as an administrative assistant at Rockwell International Steel. She belonged to a group of women that in 1950 established a pinochle club. "The Club" as they were called continued for over 70 years! Unfortunately the last two years they were unable to meet due to Covid. Joanne was also a poet who gifted family with her writing. Donations may be directed to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 18645 Dixie Hwy., Homewood, IL 60430 where Joanne was a longtime member. A Memorial Service at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church will be held at a later date. Inurnment following at Zion Lutheran Cemetery of Hinsdale in Oak Brook, IL.
