Joan Mary Stubenrauch

98 of Mokena passed away Friday, January 9th, 2026.

Joan is survived by her loving family, children, Joan Heezen, Margaret Hargraves, Katherine Hargraves, Joseph Stubenrauch, George (Nancy) Stubenrauch, Mary Heyne, Beth Stubenrauch, sibling, Betty (late Paul) Daugirda, sister in-law, Edith Roulo, brother in-law, Tom Sharkey, 27 grandchildren and over 40 nieces and nephews spanning three generations.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Leo & Everette Roulo (Demarais), husband, Jospeh Stubenrauch, siblings, Robert (Shirley) Roulo, Jerry (Diane) Roulo, Davey Roulo, Patricia (Robert) Szekley, John (Peggy) Roulo, Loretta Sharkey, Tommy (Jerri) Roulo and Mary (Sigmund Eisenschenk) Rouleau, daughter in-law, Dawn Stubenrauch, sons in-law, Ray Hargraves and Thomas Heyne.

Joan was a devout Catholic who unselfishly put her family first in all aspects of her life. She took pride in working for the Rock Island Railroad as well as the Environmental Protection Agency retiring at the age of 78.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Thursday, January 15th, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service, Friday, January 16th, 2026 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15 AM and then to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment, St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery, Crestwood IL.
