Joan P. Moore (nee Craig)

Age 87, of New Lenox, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Joan was born in Clarksdale, MS to the late John P. and Genevieve (nee Abraham) Craig.

Beloved wife of the late Robert H. Moore; loving mother of the late Robert Jr. (Donna) Moore, Marianne Thomas, Michael (Lori) Moore, Christine (Lawrence) Hensley, Daniel (Stacey) Moore, Ronald Moore, and the late Phillip Moore; cherished grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother of 23; dear sister of Marsha Ayola, Barbara French, Susie (Danny) Hennessey, Julie (Jim) Ardaugh, John (Debbie) Craig, and Butch (Cathy) Craig; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Joan was a former member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Joliet, IL. She was an avid reader, and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Joan will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Joliet, IL.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Illinois Alzheimer's Association.
