Jennie Hammermeister (nee Elipani)

Age 96 of New Lenox, IL passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Warren Barr Nursing and Rehabilitation of Orland Park, IL.  Jennie was born in Chicago, IL to the late Pietro and Ester (nee Ziliotto) Elipani.   Beloved wife of the late Arthur Hammermeister, loving mother of the late James (Dolores) Hammermeister, John (Nancy) Hammermeister, Laura (Anthony) Dobrzeniecki; cherished grandmother of Brian, (Lauren) Hammermeister, Matthew Hammermeister, Brandon (fiancée Brittany Mann) Cook, and Grace (Nick) Mewhirter; proud great grandmother of Jackson and Lucia Hammermeister; dear sister of the late Basil (late Mary) Elipani; loved aunt, cousin and friend of many.  Jennie enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 3 pm – 8 pm.  Funeral Services will be on Friday, April 26, 2024, with prayers at the the funeral home at 9:30 am to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, IL for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.  Interment at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
