Jeffrey P. Price

Age 69, of New Lenox, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. Jeff was born on an Army Base in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Amit J. and Sarah F. (nee Morgan) Price. Beloved husband and best friend of Debra (nee Brown); incredible father of Chandra (Carl) Dalton, Wendy (Chris) Karger, and A.J. (Judson Lester) Price; cherished grandpa of Jeffrey (Sarai) Ryan, Taylor (Jonathon) Lorenz, Bryan Hughes, Kiara (Mitchell) Paradeis, Destiny Karger, Skyler Dalton, Kenneth Karger, and Penny Lester; proud great grandfather of Jason Hughes (predeceased), Luna Paradeis, and Atlas Ryan.

Jeff was a 1971 graduate of Lincoln-Way and a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Joliet, IL for 35 years. He enjoyed the adventurous side of life. Some of his favorite things were camping, campfires, overlanding, geocaching, Deb’s potato salad, dad jokes, his lawn tractor, hats, suspenders and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren and traveling with his wife, visiting all 48 contiguous states. Jeff was the best of us and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition, Jeff is survived by his mother-in-law Flora Gallagher, brothers John (Jan) Price and Stephen (Blanche) Price, brothers-in-law Bruce (Donghua Liu) Brown and Gregory (Karen) Brown, sister-in-law Cindy (Paul) Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel located at 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Time of Sharing Stories and Memories starting at 7:00pm.
