Jean E. Dudley

Jean (nee Murphy) Dudley, 100, died Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Smith Crossing.

Jean was born and raised in Burgoon, Ohio. She was the daughter of Ray and Mary Murphy and had four brothers.

She shared an extraordinary 77-year marriage with her beloved husband, John. Their life was a testament to love, commitment and companionship.

She was the proud and loving mother of Susan Dudley, Deborah Farkas, Jane (Michael) Gross, Jon (Janice)Dudley. Cherished grandmother to Laura, Sarah, John and Jeanna and great grandmother to Mia, Mikey, Madison, Margot, and Callum.

Jean and John spent 10 wonderful years in independent living at Smith Crossing. She loved to play cards and had a great love of golf. She and John played at Olympia Fields CC for many years as well as traveling to Naples, Florida to play golf in the winter months.

Jean will be remembered for her devotion to family, her warmth and strength and countless memories they share together.

She will be deeply missed.
