Jean Brown Johanson

Age 88 of New Lenox, passed away peacefully, Friday, February 5, 2021.

Jean is survived by her loving children, Susan (Richard) Lentz, Debra (Allen) Klausing, grandchildren, Krystle (Andrew) Tempel and Katy Klausing, and great-grandchildren Kiora Daisy Tempel and Emry Sky Klausing

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edward W. Johnason, her parents, Alexander S. Brown Sr. and Ruby S. (Steen), and her siblings Alexander S. Brown Jr. (late Mary Ellen), and Robert S. Brown (late Jean). Jean was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church in New Lenox. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the United Methodist Church, 339 West Haven Ave., New Lenox, IL 60451 would be appreciated.
