James R. Klutcharch
Age 75, of Mokena, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at his home. Jim was born in Chicago, IL to the late Frank and Ethel (nee Swanson) Klutcharch. Devoted husband of Janice (nee Michalowski); loving father of twin daughters Tracy (Tom) Suntken and Dawn Schwartz; cherished grandfather of Ryan (Courtney) Schwartz, Kelsey Suntken, Taylor Schwartz, and Keira Suntken; dear brother of the late Frank (late Joan) Klutcharch, Peggie (Chuck) Hosto, Tom (Pat) Klutcharch, Gerry (Jim) Emmel, and Steve Klutcharch; loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was a teacher and coach in CHSD 218, at Alan B. Shepard and Dwight D. Eisenhower High Schools, for 34 years, retiring in 2002. He taught Drivers Ed. and P.E., and coached football and baseball. Jim also coached his daughters travel softball team during their high school years. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 3pm – 8pm. Funeral services on Thursday, May 12, 2022, with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30am then to St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment will be private.
