JAMES DOBROVICH

Age 99 passed away on Monday, August 12th, 2019 at his home in Frankfort.

Jim is survived by his loving family, children, Janet (Ron) Tucker, Richard (Donna) Dobrovich, Judy Selby, Nancy (Brian) Mahoney, brother, Albert Dobrovich, grandchildren, Alan McDuffie, Lindsay McDuffie, Jeff (Rebecca) Selby, David Selby, Michael (Sarah) Mahoney, Matthew (Caitlan) Mahoney, Meagan Mahoney, great grandchildren, Dayton Mahoney, Charlotte Mahoney, Amelia Selby and Emma Selby.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John & Dolly Dobrovich (Sirola), wife, Charlotte Dobrovich (Mayfield), siblings, John Dober, Tony Dobrovich and Dorothy Putinsky.

Jim was a United States Army Air Force Veteran who served in WWII from 1940 thru 1948 as a Technical Sergeant in the Pacific Theater. Jim married his sweetheart Charlotte Mayfield in 1952 and they raised their family in Hazel Crest IL. He started his own business in his home, Jim’s TV, and became the “go to repairman” for whomever needed TV service in the area.
He was a former President of the Hazel Crest Kiwanis Club and an avid golfer.
