Aged 70, a resident of Manteno, formerly of Park Forest, IL., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Devoted and loving father of Tammy Riley, Tara (Andrew) Doggett, and Jennifer Lenburg; beloved son of Julie Dionne (Angelo); cherished grandfather of Amanda, Fred, Nicholas, and Benjamin, and great-grandfather of Jacob and Sierra; dear brother of Craig (Suzie Kelly Lenburg), Debbie (John) Skipper, and Dino (Tracy) Lenburg; fond uncle of Nora, Taylor, and Kaitlyn Lenburg. He was preceded in death by his father Allen Lenburg, and grandson Jacob. Jack spent most of his career as a placement director for several colleges, finding jobs for graduating students. Jack was an enthusiastic History buff and taught previously as a teacher for CPS. He was a truly passionate Star Trek fan, and was the author of "Another View of the Psychology of Mr. Spock's Popularity" chapter in the book, "The Best of Trek #2." He also ran a fantasy football league for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, watching movies, particularly Sci-Fi and playing video games. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 3:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.
