IRENE M. GALASSI (ROBBINS)

Age 101 passed away on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025 at The Cottages of New Lenox. 

Irene is survived by her loving family, children, Gail Lattyak, Paul (Judy) Galassi, Ilene (John) Semanic, Gary (Sophia) Galassi, brother, Robert Robbins, 17 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Galassi, son, Victor Galassi Jr and siblings Raymond Robbins, Harold “Bud” Robbins and James Robbins.

Irene was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Frankfort and Charter Member of Prestwick Country Club and Garden Club. She greatly enjoyed golfing, ceramics, sewing and international travel. 

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Monday, February 10th, 2025 from 9:00 AM until time of prayers at 11:00 AM and then to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Evergreen Park IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Cottages of New Lenox would be greatly appreciated.
