Harriet Ann Scanlan

January 8, 1931 — February 13, 2026

Frankfort, IL

With hearts broken beyond measure, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Harriet A. Scanlan of Frankfort, Illinois, who peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on February 13, 2026, at the age of 95.

Harriet was born on January 8, 1931, in Bloomington, Illinois, to Howard and Harriet Bradley. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John “Jack” Scanlan, and her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Grotz (Robert), Patricia May, and Kelly Molinari (Michael); her cherished grandchildren, Kelly Cummings, John Molinari (Sarah), Michael Molinari, Philip May, Daniel May, Erica Grotz, Renee Molinari, and Nicole Booker; and her great-grandchildren, Brynlee Molinari, Veronica Molinari, and Raphael Sanchez. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved deeply.

Harriet was devoted to her community, serving as the City Clerk of Country Club Hills for several decades. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church in Frankfort. A strong and devoted matriarch, she was a role model for the young women she raised and inspired. We rejoice in the knowledge that she is now fishing with Jack in the presence of the angels. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way Frankfort, IL on Friday February 20, 2026 from 9:30am - 11:30am, funeral mass to follow at St Anthony Catholic Church Frankfort, IL at 12:00pm.
