100 of New Lenox, formerly of South Holland and West Pullman, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Franciscan Village in Lemont, IL. Gertrude was born in Chicago to the late Sebastian and Rozalia (nee Grotowski) Tropp. Beloved wife of the late John J. Wolowiec; loving mother of Regina (Gilbert) Draus, Maryann (Michael) Trybula, Lawrence (Karen) Wolowiec, and Dolores (late James) Hammermeister; cherished grandmother of Kenneth (Pamela) Draus, Robert Draus, Scott (Valerie) Trybula, Daniel Draus, Doug (Nora) Trybula, Brian (Lauren) Hammermeister, and Matt Hammermeister; proud great-grandmother of Ryan and Ethan Draus, Thomas and James Trybula, Samantha Trybula, and Jackson and Lucia Hammermeister; dear sister of 7 siblings who preceded her in death; loved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials in Gertrude's name to to a charity of donor's choice would be appreciated. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2022, at St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox from 10:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Entombment will be private at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
