George Alexander Faris, Sr.

George Alexander Faris Sr., age 74, a resident of Frankfort, formerly of Beverly, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020. Loving husband of Denise ( Doorley) Faris; beloved father of George A. (Autumn) Faris Jr. and Jennifer (Mark) Basile; dearest brother of Virginia (William) Goodwin; cherished grandfather of Mark, Andrew and Allison Basile and Holly and Vivian Faris. George was a general foreman at US Steel and he was Sr. Director of Operations for Western Intermodal. He was a graduate of Morgan Park High School and received a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He also was a member of Prestwick Country Club in Frankfort and Cliff Dwellers in Chicago. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Saturday, October 24, 2020, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM with a funeral service at 4:00 PM. DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC IT IS REQUIRED THAT ALL IN ATTENDANCE WEAR A MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCE. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the donor's choice in George's name would be appreciated.
