Gary Vanderbent age 87 of Cedar Lake, In. passed away peacefully at his home on Monday October 12, 2026.

Beloved husband of 60 years to Barbara (nee Dyke) Vanderbent; Loving father of: Lori (Tom) Kamp, Tim (April) Vanderbent, Mark (Ruth) Vanderbent; cherished grandfather to: Kylen (Skye), Emily, Ethan (Hanna), Ali, Andrew, Amber, Brenden, Jaden (Grace); great-grandfather of: Matthew, Jay, Parker; brother to: Ken (Connie), David (Sally); brother-in-law of Ray (Dianne); a role model to his extended family including many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held at New Life Church 500 Gougar rd. New Lenox, IL. 60451 on Saturday October 17, 2026, from 9AM until time of service at 11AM. Interment private.
