Gary Lee Boston

Gary Lee Boston of New Lenox, Illinois passed away peacefully on 9/28/2026 at the age of 82. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 8, 1944 to David Mitchell Boston and Lillian Boston nee Anderson. He retired from the Midlothian DMV in 2010 and will be remembered by many who received assistance from him there. He loved people and will be lovingly remembered as a joker and a prankster, always looking for ways to make others laugh and to have a good laugh himself. He was proud of the years of volunteer service he gave to the Riverdale Park District and as a member of the Riverdale Dolton Jaycees. He is survived by Sandy Johnson, his partner of 45 years, his daughters Jennifer Boston, Cheryl Boston and Debbi Serke, his son, Scott Johnson, and his grandchildren Brett Kenning, Ren Kenning, Matthew Kenning, Everett Serke and Carter Serke. His family will follow his expressed wishes to be cremated and for his family to have a small, private gathering in his memory.
