Gary Alan Nelson

Gary Alan Nelson, age 68 a longtime resident of New Lenox, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Loving husband of Susan Nelson (Blankert); beloved father of Erik (Katie) Nelson, Kirk Nelson and Dana (BIll) Oremovich; dearest brother of Craig (Linda) Nelson; cherished grandfather of Daria and Celia Nelson, Will and Calvin Oremovich. He worked for Joliet Park District at Pilcher Park and the Will County Forest Preserve. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E Francis Road New Lenox IL 60451 on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow to Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to ALS Association would be appreciated.
