Francis G. Lakis Jr. "Frank"

Francis G. Lakis Jr. Age 83, of Frankfort, IL. passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, August 16, 2026. Born in Blue Island, IL. to the late Francis and Lois Lakis.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia Lakis; son, Timothy (Colleen) Lakis; grandchildren, Tristan and Tyler Lakis, Natalie Franks; siblings, Beverly Georgeff and Sylvia Riney; brother-in-law, Russell McCauley; sisters-in-law Kathleen McCauley and Maureen McCauley; nephews and niece Michael and Kyle Farrell and Michelle (Ken) Haycek.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Lois Lakis, and his daughter, Kellie Lakis-Franks.

Frank served in the United States Army Reserves from 1965 - 1971. He raised his family in Homewood, IL where he was a member and avid golfer at Calumet County Club. He was a CPA and a founding partner of Temp-Tech Industries Inc. Frank enjoyed traveling to Door County and to Spring Training to cheer on his beloved Chicago White Sox with his wife. Frank’s favorite pastimes included spending time with his grandchildren, playing cards with his friends, and solving the daily sudoku puzzle. The point is, Frank lived a very good life.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, Illinois, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
