Francis (Frank) Bruno Albers, 95, of Tinley Park, Illinois passed away in his home on March 11, 2026.
Frank was born in Cherokee, Iowa on March 9, 1931 to Bruno and Barbara Albers. He grew up working and playing on a farm in Iowa with his five brothers. Frank was a hardworking man who had many careers throughout his life. He married his wife Edith in 1962 and made a beautiful family, including two daughters; their marriage lasted 63 years. He was a family man who enjoyed building and fixing just about anything and passing on his skills to the people he loved. He also loved spending time with family, indulging in delicious food, and his faith.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and brothers. Frank will be truly missed by the people who survived him including his wife, Edith Albers and his two daughters Nadine Albers-Lopez (Alejandro) and Sandra Richey (William). He will also be missed by his grandchildren- Tiffany, William, Francis, and Emma- their spouses, and his seven great-grandchildren.
Frank will be remembered through his myriad of stories, deep laugh, his love of discovering new things, warm humor, and kindness for all whom he encountered. He carried his faith in God into every aspect of his life. Frank was a devoted husband, wonderful father, and caring grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving an enduring impact on all who loved him.
Family and friends are invited to a Catholic mass to celebrate Frank’s life at St. George’s Catholic Church in Tinley Park, IL on March 21 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Lightways Hospice Care and Catholic Charities of Joliet- both of which were so kind to Frank.
