Florence A. Januchowski (nee Karpinski)

Age 102 of Mokena, IL, formerly of Burnham, IL, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Clarendale of Mokena. Florence was born in Chicago, IL to the late Frank and Katherine (nee DeYoung) Karpinski and was a parishioner of St. Michael the Arch Angel Church in South Chicago. Beloved wife of the late Herbert A. Januchowski; loving mother of the late Joan (late Glenn) Nielsen, the late Herbert (Arlene) Januchowski, the late Henry (Pat) Januchowski, and the late Mary Ann Kurke; cherished grandmother of Frank Nielsen, the late Michael Nielsen, Kristyn Hartman, Craig (Clare) Januchowski, Randy A. (Christine) Januchowski, Renee (Kevin) Kryscio, Debbie (Todd) Guentensberger, and Lauren (Patrick) O’Reilly; proud great grandmother of many; dear sister of Emily (late Ray) Sarnowski and nine other siblings who preceded her in death; loved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Florence was a cashier at A&P Grocery Store in Roseland, Chicago for 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Florence will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena, IL on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 10:00am. Interment will be private at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.
