Emily Andrews nee Hamlin, 36 of Chicago and Flossmoor, passed away suddenly on March 10, 2026. Emily was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth, humor, and spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.
Emily is survived by her loving husband, Andres Andrews; her parents, Mark and Debra Hamlin; and her sisters, Lauren (Pedro) Sahagun, Rebecca (Joe) Kleinhans, and Kristin (Mark) Goesel. Her brothers and sisters-in-law: Tony (Carlene) Morales, Sergio (Lauren) Lund and Pam Andrews; mother-in-law, Pamela Lund. Grand-daughter of Claire (late Homer) Hamlin, Jackie (Tom) Holba and the late Robert MacNaught. She was also a cherished aunt to her nieces and nephews Harrison and Everett Goesel, Antonio Kai, Adalynna and Aila Morales, Harrison and Vivian Lund, who all adored her. Emily shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Cosima (“Cosi”), who recently passed and was her constant companion.
Emily had a gift for making people laugh. She was hilarious, quick-witted, and had a way of lighting up any room she walked into. Anyone who met Emily instantly loved her, and those who knew her best were lucky to experience her loyalty, kindness, and huge heart. She loved traveling and making memories with the people she loved. Whether exploring somewhere new or spending time with family and friends, Emily embraced every opportunity to be together. Emily also loved capturing those moments. She was always the one making sure everyone gathered together for a photo—at holidays, celebrations, and even the smallest get-togethers—because she believed those memories were worth saving.
To her family, Emily was more than a wife, sister, or daughter—she was a best friend. Her love, laughter, and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed, but the memories she helped create and capture will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
