Age 87 of Elwood formerly of Pleasanton, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Loving husband of Joan (nee Haase); beloved father of Edward (MaryLou) Jr., Karl, Dawn Veverka, Gerry (Therese) and Heidi (Richard) Klein; dearest son of the late Augistin and Lena (nee Elizond); fond brother of Stella (Jacob) Keller, late Sylvia (Raymond) Sreniawski, Yolanda (late Edward) Doyle, Alice (Ronald) Goudreau, Virginia Dykman and late Raquel (Joan); proud grandfather 9 and great grandfather of 5 and many nieces and nephews. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and Coast guard and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. in New Lenox. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Thursday, September 4th, 2014 from 3 until 9PM. Funeral Service Friday, September 5, 2014 at 10:00AM in the funeral home chapel . Interment and military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
