Edward J. Miller passed away peacefully on Saturday May 30, 2026.
Edward spent much of his life as a Teletype Operator for the Chicago Board of Trade. Through his diligent work, he contributed to an era of vital communication in the trading world, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to his career. His colleagues remember him as reliable and precise, attributes that defined his approach both professionally and personally.
Beyond his professional life, Edward was a man of rich and heartfelt interests. A deep love for music colored many moments of his life, providing comfort and joy throughout the years. His affection for animals, especially his cherished cat Cupid, reflected his gentle nature and kindness. Cupid was not merely a pet but a companion who shared in the daily rhythms of Edward’s life, symbolizing the warmth and care he extended to those around him.
Central to Edward’s life was his beloved wife, Frances, the love of his life. Their partnership was one of unwavering support and shared adventures. Together, they forged countless memories, most notably their cherished trips to Nevada. These journeys were more than vacations; they symbolized the bond they enjoyed and the joy of experiencing the world side by side. Their life together was a testament to a profound and enduring partnership.
Edward is preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years Frances T. Miller, parents, Edward J. and Catherine E. Miller, siblings, Jean F. Braun, Ronald J. Miller
Edward is survived by sister Joyce M. (Late James) Koziel, niece, Rosemary (Luke) Sexton, great niece, Autumn Sexton and numerous family and friends.
Family will receive family and friends for a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort way Frankfort, IL. 60423 on Sunday June 7, 2026, from 1 P.M. until 5 P.M. Funeral will take place Monday June 8, 2026. 9 A.M. prayers at the Funeral Home followed by procession to Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery 6001 w. 111th. st. Alsip, IL. 60803
