Edna Filter (nee Freeman)

91, of Manhattan formerly of New Lenox and Chicago, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. Loving wife of the late William Filter; beloved mother of Susan (Dan) Matteson and Gale Filter; her best friend and granddaughter Jamie (Dan) Kwasneske and grandchildren Maria, Daneka and Danny Filter; proud great grandmother of Lilly, Nathan and Danny Kwasneske; fond sister of Cornelius Knight, Mary Kenny and Virginia Freeman and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox IL 60451 from 3:00pm until time of memorial service at 5:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
