Dr. Donald J. Bonomo

Dr. Donald J. Bonomo, age 86, a resident of Frankfort formerly of Flint MI, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Loving husband of Claudia Bonomo (Chatel); beloved father of Ann (William) Fanizzo, Laura Bonomo, Megan (John) Fordon and Dr. Raymond (Wendy) Bonomo; dear brother of Gerard (Marne) Bonomo; cherished grandfather of Kaitlyn (Dr. Eshwar) Murthy, Patrick Drouillard, Jack (Becca) Fordon, Dominick Fordon, Dominic Bonomo and Luc Bonomo; proud great grandfather of Liam and Elijah Drouillard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Louise (Hosa) Bonomo; brothers Raman (Mary) Bonomo and his twin Ronald Bonomo. Dr. Bonomo owned the Oral Surgery Center in Chicago Heights and loved what he did. He always said he never worked a day in his life.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting fishing and piloting his own plane. He was a great humanitarian who loved his family and friends and he lived every day to the fullest. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Friday, November 25, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 S. 115th Ave. Mokena, IL 60448 meeting at the church for the 11:00 AM mass. Interment will be private.
