Donald H. Proudfoot

Age 82, of New Lenox, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Don was born in Chicago, IL to the late John and Bernice (nee Palm) Proudfoot.

Loving husband of Carol (nee Stocker) Proudfoot; loving father of Tracy (Craig) Mikalauski and Brian (Isolta) Proudfoot; cherished grandfather of Madison (Zeke) Medellin, Kaleigh (Chris Accetto) Mikalauski, Lucas Proudfoot, and Gabriela Proudfoot; also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Don was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was an electrician for Nabisco/Kraft for over 30 years, retiring in 2008. Don had a big heart and was always willing to help someone out. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memoria Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 3 pm – 8 pm. Funeral service Saturday, December 13, 2025, with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
