Donald J. Metzger
88, of Lockport, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Illinois Veterans Home, Quincy, IL. Don was born in Joliet, to the late Joseph L. and Bertha P. (nee Anzzoline) Metzger. Survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Estelle A. (nee Shepherd), a niece Sandra (William) Renner, and nephews, Jay (Patricia) Mitrovich and Randy Mitrovich. Don retired as Plant Supervisor from Unical/Chevron after over 35 years of service. He was a WWII and Korean War U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Don's name to Illinois Veteran's Home, Quincy, IL or Meals on Wheels would be appreciated. Family will receive friends for a visitation at St Dennis Catholic Church, Lockport on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 9:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment at Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates, Lemont, IL.
