Donald E. Flight

Donald E. Flight, age 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Lightsways Hospice House in Joliet.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife Mary (nee Costa) Flight; children, Kevin (Linda) Flight, Patrick (Sharon) Flight, and Donald (Laura) Flight; grandchildren, Brittany (Calvin) Labatt, Amanda Flight, Ethan Flight, Thomas Flight, Katherine Flight, Marikate Flight, Andrew Flight, Ryan Flight, Kaitlin Flight; great-grandchildren, Caden, Liam, Addy, and Jace; siblings, Patti (Frank) Jones, and Larry (Regina) Flight; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by, his parents Clarance and Lorraine (nee McKevitt) Flight; grandson Kyle Flight; and sisters Jacki Flight, and JoAnne Kaufmann.

Donald will always be remembered for his fierce love of golf. He loved being with his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. He also worked in the mechanical HVAC industry for 54 years building high rises in Chicago. Donald was always quick to help others and lend a helping hand on any kind of project. He will be missed by all that knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in Donald’s name would be appreciated.

Services for Donald will begin on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 Sauk Trail, in Frankfort with a visitation from 9am until the time of Mass at 11am
