Don Hellriegel

Visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort on Saturday, September 19th from 3:00-7:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow on Monday, September 21st beginning at 10:30 at St. Peter's U.C.C. in Frankfort.

Don was born on November 11th, 1961 in Chicago Heights. He grew up in the Frankfort area where he met the love of his life, Lisa, in 1979. They were married in 1986 on September 13th, and enjoyed 34 happy years of marriage together. He was a dedicated and loving father to his three children: Nicole, Zachary, and Lucas.

Don was a farmer for 38 years, and his dedication to his craft led to his involvement as a board member of the Will County Farm Bureau and as a trustee for the Green Garden Township. He was more widely known around the community for his cheery personality and the fact that he would do anything to help anyone.

Don passed peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 15th, 2020. He is deeply missed and survived by his wife, Lisa (Warfield); three children, Nicole, Zachary, and Lucas; parents Kenneth and Theresa (Hack); siblings, Robert, Daniel, Cathy (Ron), and Shirley (Glenn), and his nieces and nephews.
