Diane Marie Pieczynski

Diane Marie Pieczynski, nee Krynicki, age 87, of Frankfort, born April 24,1939. Beloved wife, of 64 years, to the late Edward J. Pieczynski; mother of Dennis Pieczynski, Denise (Larry) Bender and Edith (Timothy) Lutz; grandmother of Kyle (Erin) Pieczynski, Major Steven (Kelsey) Pieczynski, Captain Timothy (Erica) Lutz and 1st Lieutenant Kirsten Lutz; daughter of the late John F. and Agnes Krynicki, nee Grzybowski; sister of Richard (Jean) Krynicki, Patricia (Daniel) Hnatt, Ronald (Doris) Krynicki, Evelyn (John) Tobinski, Geraldine (Robert) Relinski and Kathleen (Tom) Niksic. Many cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive; best friend of Helen Rose Kobitta.

Past member of Annunciata Parish, where she served as a school board member. Member of Saint Boniface Parish, where she served as Eucharistic Minister, President and a member of Women's Club. She also served as President of the Parish Council for 8 years. In Monee, she was appointed to the Planning and Zoning Board for IO years, before becoming elected as Trustee in the Village of Monee for 2 terms.

Family will receive family and friends Tuesday, October 6, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel Frankfort, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423. Prayers in the funeral home chapel Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 9:30 AM to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL for Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM. 

In lieu flowers donations to Saint Jude Children Hospital. 

Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
