Age 81, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Loving husband of 55 years to Virginia Schumpp (Pflum); beloved brother of Robert (Joyce) Schumpp and uncle to many nieces and nephews. David was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea, he worked for Illinois Bell/Ameritech for 40 years, he was an Adjunct Professor at Governors State University and St. Xavier University, a longtime member of Prestwick Country Club serving as President for 3 terms, Frankfort Planning Commissioner for 12 years, member of Builders Tee Golf Club. A memorial visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM. A memorial mass will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort IL 60423 on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 10:00AM. Inurnment will be private.
